Fort Worthington Elementary Middle School
21st Century Schools

As a prime contractor to MSA, Plexus furnished and installed a complete Audio Visual, Network and Telecommunications system for the Ft. Worthington School. Plexus provided an entire turn-key Category 6A Infrastructure system for above ceiling and inside wall installation for all low voltage cabling and wiring throughout the Ft. Worthington school. Structured cabling task included Equipment Rooms, Backbone Cabling, and Horizontal Cabling. Our solution was based on a Hubbell Cabling System. We also provided installation and integration support for the complete Audio-Visual and Video Conferencing system for the Facility. Plexus provided the Cisco Network gear and Voice Equipment, and the DAS system for the school.

Frederick Elementary School
21st Century Schools

Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission

Plexus has been tasked with upgrading the interior and exterior security systems at various Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission facilities. We currently provide security camera and electronic security services for WSSC in Prince Gorges and Montgomery Counties. We’ve completed installations at approximately eight different complexes which have included structures such as dams, water treatment plants, maintenance facilities, warehouses, depots, garages, their headquarters building and many others. The type of work we provide for this customer includes but is not limited to, camera installation and replacement, copper and fiber cabling, outside plant, foundation and pole installation and access control/ electronic security installation. Many of WSSC’s facilities support critical personnel to respond to emergencies and we must strategically coordinate these installations so not to disrupt their everyday functions.

Howard County - Central Maryland Transit Operations Facility

The facility, a large environmentally friendly (LEED Silver candidate) 22,000 square foot single story multi-use building designed to support the new Regional Transportation Agency’s fleet of 105 buses. The facility includes (5) Maintenance Repair Bays, (1) Chassis Wash Bay, (1) Vehicle Wash Bay and houses offices and an administrative area. Overall the facility will support over 200 employees.
Plexus Group’s scope of work included the following systems: Electrical, Site Work, Emergency Power, Structured Cabling, Security Cameras/CCTV, Access Control, CATV, IT/Data/Telecommunications, PA system, and Fire Alarm.
Plexus faced numerous challenges due to the extensive amount of site work which included (61) 30’ pole lights with pole mounted speakers/security cameras. In addition to the base bid contract an owner-directed change order to install and commission a backup power system after the main electrical service was complete.

Maryland Public Health Lab

Plexus provided low voltage cabling for the new Maryland Public Health Lab. The lab is a state-of-the-art facility which stands at 6 floors and 234,00 square feet. This building is home to 212 laboratory employees. Plexus provided a complete Category 6 Infrastructure system for above ceiling and inside wall installation for all low voltage cabling and wiring and CCTV throughout the lab. Structured cabling subtask includes Equipment Rooms, Backbone Cabling, and Horizontal Cabling. Our solution was based on a Panduit System. We also provided installation and integration support with our partner for the complete Audio-Visual and Video Distribution system.

Montgomery County, Maryland: Department of Technology Services

Plexus has been servicing Montgomery County for over 20 years. Performing approximately 250 jobs yearly, ranging from one data drop to hundreds.
As the contractor, Plexus would respond to Purchase orders and Telephone Service Requests, within 10 days or two for rush orders.
This contract vehicle was used though out various agencies in Montgomery County, across the county. Some of these installations include work at Standard Office Space, Rec Centers, Fuel Islands, Libraries, Fire and Police Stations

Red-light Camera and OSP Cabling

Plexus provides installation services for roadside red light and speed cameras, including outside plant work, underground installations, trenching, electrical pedestal service power, lane closures, foundations, and low voltage cabling.
